The short answer
Plan around customer questions and available resources. The example below is a starting point to adapt, not an algorithm rule or a promise of reach.
Choose three or four themes
Begin with the questions people ask before buying or making an enquiry. What do you offer, who is it for, how does the process work and what should someone know before visiting? The answers become themes you can return to in different formats.
For a local service business, themes could include the offer, the process, common questions and real examples. An event might need programme updates, practical information, atmosphere and a recap. Not every profile needs every category.
- Offer: explain one specific product or service.
- Trust: show real work and describe your role accurately.
- Questions: answer one audience concern.
- Action: explain the next step, such as an enquiry or registration.
An example monthly plan
This working example uses two main posts per week. Adapt the number to production time, available materials and audience needs. Stories can support it when there is something useful to share, without an obligation to post continuously.
| Week | First post | Second post |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | A photograph and a clear service explanation | A short video showing the process |
| 2 | An answer to a common question | A real project or work detail |
| 3 | A short video with one useful tip | Practical details: location, dates or contact |
| 4 | Selected work and its context | An invitation with a clear next step |
Prepare materials in a focused session
A shot list makes a shoot less dependent on inspiration that day. Give each shot a purpose: a cover image, product detail, process demonstration or answer to a question. Leave room for text and check how the composition works vertically.
If the audience includes Croatian customers and international visitors, decide when Croatian, English or separate versions are useful. Not every message needs a long bilingual caption.
Write a brief in a few lines
For each post, note the audience, message, format, required material and desired action. For example: “Small accommodation owners; show how a mobile website works; a short video; an approved project screen recording; invite an enquiry.”
Use the caption to explain what the image cannot. If a video contains speech, prepare readable captions. Essential details should not depend on sound or tiny text inside an image.
Leave time to review
At the end of the month, look at posts that prompted relevant questions, saves or shares, and whether meaningful enquiries followed. Use that information to find the next topic rather than repeating the schedule unchanged.
If you need help creating Instagram content, prepare a few existing posts and describe your goal first. This makes it easier to agree a realistic collaboration than starting with a Reels count alone.
